Bradford City kick-off their season away to Gillingham

The Bantams will travel to Gillingham on August 18 for the opening fixture of the 2012/13 season in League Two. The first home game will be against Football League new-comers Fleetwood Town. Click here to see the full fixture list.

Also in the news today City announced that Scottish striker Mark Stewart has officially left the club. The 23-year-old made 15 appearances for the Bantams last season after Peter Jackson signed him from Scottish First Division side Falkirk in July. Stewart finished the season on loan with Scottish First Division side Hamilton Academical. Mark said on his Twitter account: “Would like to thank all the #bcafc fans for making me feel welcome and supporting me during my time at the club!didn’t work out as I hoped!” & “Thanks for all the msgs not happy the way things happened but need to move on and accept it and prove my doubters wrong #bcafc”…………Good luck Mark you deserve a break.
