City yesterday completed the signing of 21-year-old striker Terry Dixon. The former Tottenham Hotspur academy product, signed a one-year contract after impressing the club City whilst on trial. Last Monday he scored the winner for the reserves in their 2-1 win against Rotherham United.
The Islington-born striker will initially be part of City’s ever-growing development squad and the club website says that he’s likely go out on loan to a Blue Square Bet North side to gain some first-team experience.
Dixon was released by Spurs in 2008 and he then signed for West Ham the following year but he never managed to break into the first team and he was released in April 2010. last season he spent some time at Stevenage and non-league sides Ware and Tooting & Mitcham United
As expected, new City development squad striker Terry Dixon has joined Blue Square Bet North side AFC Halifax Town on a one month loan deal.
The 21 year old, who signed a one year contract with City only this Tuesday, is now expected to make his Shaymen debut at home to Workington this Saturday.
Neil Aspin has confirmed that striker Terry Dixon will be with the Shaymen for a second month on loan from Bradford City. Tomorrow’s Blue Square Bet clash at Harrogate was due to be the frontman’s last league game in a Town shirt. And that would have been a blow after he scored one goal and had a hand in the other three in Tuesday’s dramatic win at high flying Guiseley.
