The Falkirk Herald has reported that Falkirk’s out of contract top scorer Mark Stewart could be heading for Bradford City. The report says no agreement between the clubs has been reached but Stewart is free to move and talk to clubs and Falkirk officials have been kept abreast of his movements. Apparently he will look round Valley Parade tomorrow (Tuesday).
The 22-year-old Glaswegian scored 15 league goals for the Irn-Bru Scottish Football League First Division side this season and his manager Steven Pressley was quoted last week as saying Stewart will return for pre-season training unless “a club” meets their compensation demands.
Finally Derm Tanner of BBC Radio Leeds tweeted: “Two more city signings expected tomorrow lunchtime. I hear one could be striker other defender.”
Did not Johnny Mc Cole come from Falkirk? what a player he was.
Yes Allan, you’re showing your age now!
Falkirk manager Steven Pressley said “We will be due compensation for Mark though I don’t want to lose him. He was our top scorer last term – without taking any penalties. Unless the deal is right for the club he’ll be back and he understands the position.”
