Bradford City put their entire squad up for sale!

Omar Daley, Gareth Evans, Jon Worthington and Shane Duff are among 10 players who have been released by Bradford City. Lenny Pidgeley, Chib Chilaka, Lloyd Saxton, Ryan Harrison, Louis Horne and Chris Elliott have also been shown the door at Valley Parade after a disappointing season in League Two. Luke Dean is the only survivor from the seniors who were out of contract and has been offered a one-year deal.

Young winger Dominic Rowe, who made his first start on Saturday, has been given a one-year pro contract. Fellow second-year apprentices Alex Flett, Darren Stephenson and Adam Robinson will get six-month deals. Peter Jackson said: “Following today’s announcement of our retained and released lists, we now currently have a squad of thirteen players contracted to us for next season. I will be willing to listen to offers from other football clubs for all of those players though.”

Following City’s contract offer yesterday, Luke Dean has today put pen to paper on his deal to tie himself to the football club for a further season. Dean, who was the only player to be offered a new contract on Monday as the Bantams revealed their retaining list, is now scheduled to stay with City until at least July 2012.
